- My father asked me, “Who brought the bag?” / Ayahku bertanya padaku, “Siapa yang membawa tasnya?”

- Rena asked her brother, “What happened to your car?” / Rena bertanya pada kakaknya, “Apa yang terjadi pada mobilmu?”
- Rena asked her brother what had happened to his car. / Rena bertanya pada kakaknya apa yang terjadi pada mobilnya.

Mengutip Cambridge Dictionary, indirect reports of commands consist of a reporting clause, and a reported clause beginning with a to-infinitive. We also use a to-infinitive clause in indirect reports with other verbs that mean wanting or getting people to do something, for example, advise, encourage, warn.
Indirect reports yang berupa perintah terdiri dari reporting clause, dan reported clause dimulai dengan to-infinitive. Kita juga menggunakan to-infinitive clause pada indirect reports dengan kata kerja lain yang berarti menginginkan atau membuat orang melakukan sesuatu.

- My mother said, “Clean your room!” / Ibuku berkata, “Bersihkan kamarmu!”

Contoh 2:
- My grandfather said, “Don’t turn off the TV!” / Kakekku berkata, “Jangan matikan televisinya!”
- My grandfather asked me not to turn off the TV. / Kakekku memintaku untuk tidak mematikan televisinya.
Contoh 3:
- She said, “Don’t stay up late!” / Dia berkata, “Jangan begadang!”
- She advised me not to stay up late. / Dia menyarankan saya untuk tidak begadang.
