Umumnya teks naratif menceritakan kisah fiktif yang terkenal di tiap daerah. Teks naratif bisa dikatakan sebagai teks dongeng karena belum bisa dibuktikan kebenarannya.

Berikut merupakan struktur penyusun teks naratif.

• Orientation (orientasi)

Berisi paragraf pembuka yang mengenalkan tokoh, tempat, dan latar waktu.

• Complication (komplikasi)

Berisi permasalahan yang mulai terjadi dalam cerita.

• Resolution (resolusi)

Berisi penyelesaian masalah yang dilakukan oleh tokoh dalam cerita.

• Reorientation (reorientasi atau koda)

Paragraf opsional yang biasanya berisi kesimpulan atau pesan cerita yang bisa didapatkan.

Jaka Tarub and The 7 Angels.

Orientation

Once upon a time, there lived a young man in the middle of a forest. The man's name is Jaka Tarub. Jaka Tarub really liked hunting animals.

At that time, Jaka Tarub was exploring the forest to hunt. However, for a long time he didn’t find any animals. Finally, Jaka Tarub decided to rest and take a short nap.

Complication

Not long after, there was the sound of laughter in the direction of the gurgling water of the lake. Jaka Tarub, who was curious, finally got up and found the sound.

Jaka Tarub saw that there were 4 beautiful angels taking a bath. Jaka Tarub hid behind a bush so his whereabouts wouldn't be found out.

Jaka Tarub accidentally saw a scarf arranged on a rock. Jaka Tarub thought that the scarf belonged to an angel who was bathing in the lake.

Jaka Tarub also took one of the scarves and returned to hide.

When she was about to return to heaven, one of the angels was worried because her shawl was missing and nowhere to be found.

In the end, one of the angels had to be left on earth. The angel was named Nawang Wulan. Jaka Tarub finally met Nawang Wulan who was crying when her siblings left her.

"How unlucky you are. If you want, you can stay in my hut until your scarf is found." asked Jaka Tarub and Nawang Wulan to agree.
