JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Lagu "Young Girls" milik Bruno Mars telah mendapat sertifikat Platinum dari RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) karena terjual lebih dari satu juta kopi.

Lagu ini dipilih sebagai trek pembuka untuk album studio keduanya, Unorthodox Jukebox, yang rilis pada 2011.

Dalam sebuah sesi wawancara bersama MTV, Bruno Mars menjelaskan mengapa ia menjadikan "Young Girls" sebagai trek pertama dalam album tersebut.

"Lagu itu benar-benar menunjukan ke mana arah album ini dan di mana aku ketika aku memulainya," tutur solois bernama asli Peter Gene Hernandez itu.
