Lagu ini menjadi singel nomor satu pertama Blur yang mencapai puncak tangga lagu.

Lagu “Country House” bersaing dengan singel “Roll With It” dari grup band Oasis yang baru rilis pada minggu yang sama.

“Country House” muncul dalam album studio keempat Blur, The Great Escape (1995), melalui label Food and Virgin Records.
