Lagu tersebut merupakan bagian dari album studio pertama mereka yang bertajuk The Big Black and the Blue.

“Heavy Storm” dirilis melalui label Wichita Recordings dan diciptakan oleh kedua anggota grup, Klara Söderberg dan Johanna Söderberg.
