Duo tersebut terdiri dari Ben Gibbard dengan seorang produser musik bernama Jimmy Tamborello yang hanya memiliki sebuah album studio bertajuk Give Up.

"Brand New Colony" menjadi trek kesembilan dari 10 lagu dalam album yang rilis pada Februari 2013 itu.
