JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - "It is Well with My Soul" merupakan salah satu kidung pujian rohani yang liriknya ditulis oleh Horatio Spafford.

Lagu ini pertama kali dipublikasikan pada 1987 dalam Gospel Hymns No. 2.

"It is Well with My Soul" ditulis setelah Spafford mengalami kejadian traumatis ketika insiden Great Chicago Fire yang terjadi pada 1981.

Peristiwa tersebut membuatnya kehilangan sang anak yang berusia empat tahun dan kerusakan properti hingga membuatnya kesulitan secara finansial.
