Bersamaan dengan trek yang mengikutinya, "I'm Born Again", lagu tersebut dirilis dalam album keempat mereka yang bertajuk Oceans of Fantasy.

Berbeda dengan beberapa singel Boney M sebelumnya, "Bahama Mama" hanya berhasil menempati posisi ke-7 di tangga lagu Jerman.
